All employees, independent contractors, volunteers, and any other non-student/non-parent individuals utilizing the Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) network, internet services, and digital equipment are required to comply with these Acceptable Use Guidelines.
Please be advised that any violation of these terms may result in the immediate revocation of your account access, disciplinary action, or other official penalties.
Iao Intermediate School is dedicated to helping students leverage technology to enhance their academic success and growth. We ask parents and guardians to carefully review the Technology Responsible Use Guidelines (TRUG) with their child.
Signing this Technology Responsible Use Form (TRUF) confirms that both you and your student understand and agree to follow all policies, rules, and expectations regarding the use of Department-owned or leased digital devices, networks, and internet services. Please note that these terms may be updated or expanded by the Department as necessary.
End-of-Year Tech Return Guidelines
Please ensure all school-issued electronic devices are returned before your student officially completes the school year.
Any devices not returned prior to summer break will be flagged as an unfulfilled obligation on the student’s account. Students are responsible for the device—including any damage or loss—until it is safely returned. Please note that new devices cannot be issued for the upcoming school year until all past returns and fees are cleared.
