After extensive renovations, the Old Wailuku Armory (now J Building) became officially part of Iao School in 2003. The Iao Library was originally located in E Building, but was moved into the newly renovated J Building and now occupies most of the third floor. It has approximately 14,500 items available for students including the newest in a growing Manga and graphic novel collection. The library is a place where students can enjoy reading for pleasure, catching up on homework, using computers, doing research, discovering new interests, and experiencing some down time from their everyday lives. It’s open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 7:45 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. Students do not need a pass to come to the library during morning or lunch recesses, and may request a pass from their teacher to use the library during the regular school day. The librarian, Ms. Beyer, may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 727-5261 if you have any questions or need any assistance. Students may also join Ms. Beyer’s Google Classroom using the code 2hrnivk for information on how to use Iao Library’s online resources.
